greens & browns

look at me i can fly

soaring above
crosswalks
cell towers
strip malls
pool halls
syllables sounds
telephones
talking teaching
tell the truth
raise the roof
provide the proof
count the cars
speeding around town
stoplight
stare at the stars
lay on the ground
moment to moment
second to minute
see your smile
it used to be a frown
are you picking up
what i'm laying down?
open up your ears
listen to the sound
sun setting
